Henry was the owner of a China Campaign medal with the relief of Peking ribbon which was awarded on 6/9/1902 (RAN or RN0).
He also had good conduct badges 2nd and 3rd class granted in 1911 and 1913.
Henry came to Australia unassisted in Aug 1896 on the Oroya after training on HMS Impregnable formally HMS Howe in Stoke Dameral, Plymouth, Devon UK.
Henry was transferred back to the London Depot on 6/4/1918 and died in a royal naval hospital in Yarmouth in 1918 aged 44 years*
There is a WW1 grave in Barnstaple Cemetery, Devon, UK for him. The local paper stated ''he served in Bristish navy for 23 years and in the RAN for 7 years.. He was 46 years of age* at the outbreak of WW1 and on the retired list of the RAN but voulunteered and rejoined the British Navy. The deceased was a proud holder of the silver medal for meritous service in the China Campaign.''(NDJH 08/08/1918)

His record of Service obtained from the RAN states he was 5ft 6in tall, had black hair and hazel eyes and was of dark complextion. He had a cross tattoo on the outside of his right arm.
Henry also collected £6.18.4 from salavage of the Zambezi on 12/8/1914.
